Support programme for African AI start-ups launched

The African AI Accelerator programme is aimed at start-ups from Ghana, South Africa, Rwanda and Uganda working with and on artificial intelligence (AI). The AI Accelerator is a cooperation between the Tech Entrepreneurship Initiative “Make-IT in Africa” and the AI Initiative “FAIR Forward – Artificial Intelligence for All”. The programme is developed and implemented together with the Ghana Tech Lab.

A jury of international experts will select the best candidates for funding from all applications. A total of ten AI start-ups will go through the funding programme. Together with the industry partner IBM, the programme offers the start-ups virtual and physical training. This enables them to effectively advance the development of their technical products and business model.
