Fellowship program helps Rwandan graduates to start their career in Artificial Intelligence

Alike other African countries, Rwanda boosts a vibrant digital ecosystem that requires professionals skilled in AI (Artificial Intelligence) to sustain its growth.
To tackle the shortage of local talents trained in Artificial Intelligence (AI), the FAIR Forward – Artificial Intelligence for All project of the BMZ teamed up with IBS Stiftung and Leapr Labs to launch a 3-month long AI fellowship program. That way, Rwandan graduates and young professionals gain technical AI skills and strengthen the innovation capacity of the local digital economy.
With 3 out of the 15 fellows already employed in positions requiring AI skills, the fellowship starts off with a promising track record and has recently launched its second cohort.
