Digital Labour Platforms in Kenya – Policy Roundtable Series

The “Gig economy” project invites you to the launch event of its Policy Roundtable Series to explore the regulatory aspects of digital labour platforms part of the gig
economy in Kenya. This first roundtable revolves around the potentials and risks associated with the emergence of digital labour platforms in Kenya.

The panelists include

Dr. Ehud Gachugu, Director of Ajira Digital Project at Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA), a project of the Kenyan Ministry of ICT, Innovation and Youth Affairs funded by Mastercard Foundation.

Magdaline Chepkemoi, Founder of EldoHub, an education technology platform for youth and women, and Chairwoman of the Association of Countrywide Innovation Hubs, a network of innovation hubs across Kenya.

Caroline Omware, Senior researcher at Qhala Ltd, a digital innovation company that catalyses digital transformation capabilities for organisations across Africa, and lead researcher on the Fairwork project in Kenya.
